About Us

A Quarter Mile of Smiles

Pinnacle Peak & Southern (formerly Sahuaro Central Shortline) is an operating railroad museum located in the Adobe Dam Recreation Area in north Phoenix, Arizona. We operate a 15-inch gauge, quarter-scale miniature railroad featuring the 1859 4-4-0 steam-profile "Hurlbut" locomotive.

Each ride lasts about 8 minutes along our quarter mile of track — and every one of them is free.
